Edo Poly Fest 2019

Edo State Polytechnic Usen is the citadel of Academic Excellence under the leadership of the Rector Prof Abiodun Falodun, in a bid to refocus and reposition the school, the school has now become a centre of solution. One of such solution is the forthcoming Edo Poly Festival of Arts tagged Edo Poly Fest 2019, with the theme Uniting Ovia people through Arts. The festival of Arts is first of its Kind in Ovia which will showcase all the various Arts of the people of Ovia . Highlights of the event are
Carnival procession
Festival Lecture by High Priest Ebohon
Cultural dance competition by participants from Udo, Umaza, Usen, Iguobazuwa, Ugbogui, Siluko, Ofunama, Ekoha, Okada, Obazuwa, Egbeta, and a host of other communities
Culinary Art competition
Raffle draw and other side attractions

Participants are coming from the nook and crannies of Ovia who are coming with their colourful Arts. This event is scheduled to take place on the *23rd and 24th September, 2019 by 9am daily.*
This festival is a solution to the dwindling interest that our Arts is receiving lately. The younger generation are ashamed of our Culture due to the dearth of information that they have about it. It is hoped that, at the end of this festival, a lot of awareness would have be created about Ovia Arts.

Drying oil in water emulsion

The drying curve varies according to the type of food and the kind of drier that is used, and also the way the food material also responds to temperature, humidity, air velocity and direction of air and thickness of food. Oil-in-water emulsion dries only quickly than water -in-oil emulsion. Case hardening is common with foods that contain dissolved sugars and other solutes in high temperature. As water leaves cells of the food, solutes are retained by cell membranes and air spaces in surface layers can act by capillary action whereby water caries solutes to the surface during drying and leaves them there. In some fruits, this can cause sticky sugary exudates on the surface, which shrinks and clogs pores leading to case hardening....................................................
